FAQ's and important info

Getting Ready for a Virtual Reality Tour is easy!

1Clean and organize the space.

The virtual reality tour will look exactly the same as your physical space, so remove any items that you do not want to be seen.  Once the registration begins, you will not be able to make any significant changes!

2 Customize the space to tell your story.

Strategically place important products, set the table for restaurants, make the beds for real estate, add flowers or other items to make the space inviting.

3Consider lighting.

A virtual reality tour is different from a professional camera in that it uses LiDar technology to provide accurate measurements within the space.  Direct sunlight might interfere with this technology depending on the camera your operator is using.  Outdoor spaces are easily realized using our 3rd generation Professional camera, however, it is best to have an onsite visit (via video call or in person) prior to scheduling the tour.

4Set aside time.

A superior quality tour might require up to approximately 1 minute per square meter, plus 15 minutes set up time.  If the space has several floors, please consider an additional 10 minutes for each staircase.

5How long will the professional be on site?

Depending on the distribution of the space, and number of floors, time onsite can vary.  Here is a general guide:

30 m2 = 25 minutes

100 m2 = 45 minutes

250 m2 = 1 hours

500 m2 = 2 hours

Post production

1When will my tour be ready for viewing?

The raw tour will be ready for viewing within 48 hours.  It is possible to have same day and next day service for a small fee.

2What can be adjusted post production?

Small touch ups, such as blurring faces, license plates, or smoothing a crack in the wall can be accomplished, however, items can not be removed entirely from the tour.

3What can be added post production?

New items and products can be inserted into the tour via the tagging function including photos, social media links, links to e-commerce and booking sites, and media from YouTube and Vimeo.   In addition, almost any digital media can be added including logos, advertising boards and 3D objects, and Augmented Reality experiences.

Marketing and Advertising Best Practices

1Remote Viewing: Put it on your website!

The best way to get more traffic to your tour and your website is to post the tour directly on your website. Search engines such as Google drive more traffic to sites with Virtual Tours up to 4 times more.  Insert the tour above the first page scroll for maximum visits.  Virtique provides a copy and paste EMBED code so that visitors to your site can go directly to the Virtual Tour.  You can also add the virtual tour link to any photograph to take website visitors to your virtual tour.  This does not slow down the speed of your site as it is hosted off site.  If you are unable to accomplish this, there are many YouTube videos which give you simple instructions.  Do not believe a website technician if they tell you this is difficult or costly.  Call us for advice!

2Get a Virtique QR code: It's free, dynamic and can be customized!

Unlike a standard autogenerated QR code, the link behind a Virtique QR code can be changed without reprinting a new code.  You can also request a QR code with a landing page or digital downloadable business card to hosts multiple links, your contact details and social media links.  That means if you decide to update or add a new virtual tour, it can be accomplished without reprinting already issued materials such as brochures or business cards.

You can also customize your Virtique QR code with your logo and choose from a combination of colors and shapes.

3Put the QR on your business window: Let customers take your business with them!

Using the Virtique provided QR code is an essential part of marketing your business.  It can be used on any printed material to allow a user to enter directly into your virtual tour with a mobile device.

Place a QR code on your store window for easy "scan to enter" the virtual tour.  Maybe there are too many people in your store, maybe the potential customer doesn't have time to visit,  or your are closed for lunch or the day.  Allow them to browse your activity and give them a reason to come back!

For real estate professionals with property listings in the window, there is no better way to qualify customers than to allow them to remotely visit the property and take it home to show other stakeholders!

4Print your QR code: Find out how to limit printed materials without sacrificing distribution!

Printing is an important part of marketing, but for the sake of the environment, we feel that printing should be limited and combined with the use of display stands. Print brochures and flyers, but allow clients to digitally save the information from the display instead of taking away a paper copy which will likely end up in a nearby garbage can.

Include your QR code on advertising in magazines, brochures, business card and flyers, even shopping bags for maximum visibility.

5Outdoor Advertising: Make it fun and interactive!

Don't forget to include your QR code on billboards or sponsorship signs!  Turn a static outdoor sign into an immersive experience.

You can even order a UV and weather resistant sticker for your car or company vehicles.

6Add Augmented Reality: Try your products from your advertising!

Add on a QR code to access a try on experience! Our Augmented Reality service will truly impress  potential customers and is 87% more memorable than static publicity.  Imagine an outdoor advertisement for an item in your store, such as furniture, materials or glasses, and allow a scan to try on experience straight from your advertisment!

7Wear it: Put your QR code on the back of your mobile phone, your car, or a even a T-shirt!

Order QR code stickers from us and put them anywhere including the back of your mobile phone or even on your car!  Order our UV and water resistant stickers in any size!

8Gift it: Get a gadget with with your QR code!

There's no better way to remind your customers to come back than a custom gadget.  Ask about our custom keychains with your QR code or create your own.  Baseball hats, t-shirts, or any corporate gift will constantly remind your customers to come back.
