Misericordia Church, also known as the Church of Sant’Antonio and San Biagio, is located in Via Mazzini, right in the heart of Pietrasanta.
Do not be fooled by the simple exterior — this is a must-see in Pietrasanta. This Church is one of the oldest in the city and has been co-dedicated to San Biagio and Sant’Antonio. Inside you can observe two 15th century wooden statues depicting church’s patron saints and the 1993 frescoes “La Porta del Paradiso” and “La Porta dell’Inferno” by Ferdinando Botero, the acclaimed Colombian artist and honorary citizen of Pietrasanta.
